| Bio: | Mom of two great daughters who I love and adore. I hope all their dreams come true. My profession: Pediatric Nurse -- working at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia - spinal and neuro rehabilitation -- I love my work, and my patients, too. Lover of all things esoteric, spiritual and historical. Student of comparative religion/philosophy. I spend a lot of time thinking about extreme possibilities. Some people think I'm eccentric and unorthodox. I agree. Most people don't know what I am talking about and I can't get most of my friends to have a serious discussion about Alchemy. Strangely enough, they think my interests are a bit, um, odd. Hopefully, most of the people I know and will meet off this list will appreciate this. Last, but certainly not least -- I decided to start my second childhood while I am young enough to enjoy it. As far as entertainment, I love Sci-Fi, (Lost, Battle Star Galactica), Fantasy, (LOTR, Harry Potter), and I love anime (thanks to my girls.) Fullmetal Alchemist is brilliant and powerful. It has a deliciously meaty story line with very provocative ideas backing it up. Great acting, compelling characterizations. Mainly went to AnimeNext and AnimeFest Orlando to learn more about the people who made this show so fantastic, top to bottom. I've paid my tributes -- but, more importantly, got to know some of the people behind this show -- what a fantastic experience and an outstanding group of people -- I hope to have time for another convention, sometime, soon. ...also, will be encouraging crazy Cosplay and indulging giddy fangirl behaviors in my children.
